Housekeeping


Full-Time Position

Department: Housekeeping

Hours: 2nd shift

Special Training: High School Diploma or Equivalent, Previous Hospital Experience Preferred

Description: Under the direction of the Physical Plant Supervisor housekeepers must work toward adhering to federal, state and local health codes and regulations to ensure a hygienic, safe and healthy environment. They must have the commitment and the ability to coordinate with other team members and manage duties efficiently to best serve patients.

Housekeeping duties:
-Clean patient rooms, surgical areas, offices and waiting areas using cleaning chemicals and disinfectants
-Clean and sanitize floors, equipment and furniture according to Infection Control policies
-Operate various types of cleaning equipment such as vacuums
-Handle and dispose of waste using standard procedures
-Clean mattresses and beds according to established procedures
-Collect dirty laundry from patient areas and place in designated locations
-Distribute clean linen and hospital gowns
-Maintain all cleaning equipment and supplies according to prescribed standards
-Monitor inventory of supplies such as paper towels, soap, toilet paper
-Accept and complete any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Physical requirements for a housekeeper:
Most housekeeping jobs in a hospital environment involve demanding physical tasks that require certain physical abilities including but not limited to:
-able to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum weight of approximately 25lbs
-able to stand for long periods of time
-able to kneel, bend and crawl
-able to squat and crouch
-able to work in confined spaces
-able to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals

Pharmacy Manager


Full-Time Position

Department: Pharmacy

Hours: Days

Special Training: Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy, Licensed by the State of Michigan as a Pharmacist

Description: -Three years' experience as a clinical pharmacist, preferably as a hospital pharmacist.
-Will need to understand USP 797, USP 795 and USP 800 and bring the hospital in line with these requirements.
-Previous managerial or supervisory experience preferred.
-Excellent written and verbal skills.
-Ability to interact with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals on matters that deal with the pharmaceutical needs of patients.

Description: Education: Must have completed an accredited medical assistant program and be certified or registered as a medical assistant in the state of Michigan
