Description: Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial insurance billing preferred. Non-profit accounting and/or previous healthcare accounting experience. Experience in community hospital preferred.

Special Training: Ability to work with mathematical concepts probability and statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Must be able to read analyze and interpret GAAP principles technical accounting information, financial reports and legal documents.

Other Skills: Must be able to multi-task prioritize and meet deadlines. Must have Microsoft Office suite skills

HIM Coordinator


Full-Time Position

Department: HIM

Hours: Full Time 7am - 4pm

Special Training: RHIT/ RHIA 3 to 5 years; Must have had at least 2 years working experience with a hospital information system

Description: With instruction from the HIPAA/Corporate Compliance Officer, the HIM Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the functions of the HIM Department. It is the Coordinator's responsibility to ensure that Patient Health Information/Medical Record is complete and properly stored in accordance with standard procedures established by the hospital and regulatory agencies. The Coordinator will work closely with the professional staff and allied health providers.

Required Qualifications

Education: Associates degree of Health Information Technology or Bachelors degree of Health Information Administration

Certification : Successful completion of the RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) certification exam or RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator) certification exam *Must currently have one of these certifications to be considered

Experience: Must have at least 2 years experience in the Health Information Management field, 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred

Additional Requirements: Must possess and demonstrate management skills with abilities to communicate, problem solve and accountability. Must have an excellent knowledge of medical terminology. Must have knowledge of legal issues involving the patient record. Must have a working knowledge of ICD-9-CM/ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding. Must have working knowledge of AOA, CMS and HIPPA requirements. Must have knowledge of state and federal regulations in regards to Health Information. Excellent skills and knowledge of personal computers and software programs used to: prepare reports, compile statistics, prepare presentations and research information

Housekeeping


Full-Time Position

Department: Housekeeping

Hours: M-F 7am-3:30pm, Rotating Weekends

Special Training: High School Diploma or Equivalent, Previous Hospital Experience Preferred

Description: Under the direction of the Physical Plant Supervisor housekeepers must work toward adhering to federal, state and local health codes and regulations to ensure a hygienic, safe and healthy environment. They must have the commitment and the ability to coordinate with other team members and manage duties efficiently to best serve patients.

Housekeeping duties:
-Clean patient rooms, surgical areas, offices and waiting areas using cleaning chemicals and disinfectants
-Clean and sanitize floors, equipment and furniture according to Infection Control policies
-Operate various types of cleaning equipment such as vacuums
-Handle and dispose of waste using standard procedures
-Clean mattresses and beds according to established procedures
-Collect dirty laundry from patient areas and place in designated locations
-Distribute clean linen and hospital gowns
-Maintain all cleaning equipment and supplies according to prescribed standards
-Monitor inventory of supplies such as paper towels, soap, toilet paper
-Accept and complete any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Physical requirements for a housekeeper:
Most housekeeping jobs in a hospital environment involve demanding physical tasks that require certain physical abilities including but not limited to:
-able to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum weight of approximately 25lbs
-able to stand for long periods of time
-able to kneel, bend and crawl
-able to squat and crouch
-able to work in confined spaces
-able to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals

-Good phlebotomy skills.

-Performs chemical, serological, hematological and microscopic tests to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
-Performs transfusion testing, including ABO/RH types and cross-match to ascertain compatibility.
-Performs blood gas testing.
-Perform Calibration and QC on all lab equipment as needed.
-Perform equipment maintenance on lab equipment such as chemistry, hematology, and coagulation analyzers.
-Reports any special circumstances or critical to the provider and blood bank to the pathologist.
-Processes and report test (CLIA waived, moderate and high complexity) result in a timely manner.
-Performs clerical functions as needed and any designated functions assigned by the Lab Manager.
