Once again Sheridan Community Hospital's laboratory has earned accreditation from the American Osteopathic Association’s Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program.
This means the SCH lab met the governmental regulations and strict standards in providing high quality healthcare. The laboratory received the accreditation after surveyors measured the facility against a benchmark of hundreds of recognized standards relating to each area and function of the facility. The Bureau of Healthcare Facilities Accreditation has sent a letter congratulating SCH and its laboratory on the excellence in services provided to its patients.
Sheridan Community Hospital is committed to providing our patients with the highest level of personalized quality care, said Kevin Cawley, chief executive officer for SCH. “This is why we seek voluntary accreditation as it challenges us to continue to attain that high level of care.” He went on to say, “I’m also very proud of our entire laboratory team as their commitment and dedication to SCH is clearly displayed through their work-every day.”
In addition to having passed its AOA inspection, SCH is also celebrating 65 years in the community. A big event in July will be the Family Health Fair for All Ages, on July 23, celebrating healthy lifestyle choices. It will take place at the Sheridan Community Center from 12-4 pm.
